Kyle Riley is an actor, musician, theatre maker and for the last 10 years a singer/songwriter of music for young children. He began his career some 25 years ago performing in Baltimore Maryland, Washington DC and New York. After crossing the pond to London in 2008 he was cast in The Lyric Theatre, Belfast/An Grianán 2009 Co-Production of Brian Friel’s ‘The Home Place, then going on to perform at The Curve Theatre, Leicester in Friel’s ‘Translations’, Polka Children’s Theatre, Wimbledon in ‘The Ride of Your Life, the UK Tour of ‘Legacy’ and a #1 UK Tour of ‘The Buddy Holly Story’. In 2011, after the birth of his first child, Kyle began writing and performing children’s music. He partnered with the YouTube channel,  Nursery Rhymes TV, to premier animated videos of his first six original songs, which to date have a cumulative half million views. Since moving to Co Meath in 2015, he began running weekly music classes for young children and their parents under the Banner- Little Folk Music for Young Children. They’ve developed a strong following taking place in Meath, Westmeath and Cavan.  Additionally, he’s been touring Ireland bringing his live music show for under 8’s to every corner of the country and many Festivals. He’s played Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Sunrise Children’s Festival, Bualadh Bos Festival Limerick, Ards International guitar Festival and many more. He’s brought the show to venues throughout the island including Solstice Arts Navan, Roscommon Arts Centre, Hawk’s Well Theatre Sligo, Belltable Limerick, Lime Tree Limerick, Siamsa Tire Tralee, Axis Ballymun, Riverbank Arts and Backstage Longford among others. In 2016, he was honoured to take part in the 1916 Commemoration in Dublin singing the ‘comedy songs’ of Percy French in Stephen’s Green and providing a songwriting workshop for children.He also received a commendation as part of St. Fiach’s N.S.’s contribution to the All Island Song Competition- Song for ’16. Kyle has dedicated himself to delivering high quality music for children and their adults. Taking much inspiration from his two children he released a full length studio album of his original children’s music in 2018 titled- Sing to Me. His album comes out in the autumn. Those songs feature in his weekly classes and when he’s on tour. It’s the engagement with the children, the way they interact with their parents and watching them thrive through live music that drives him to take his shows around our fine island. Throughout the COVID pandemic he has been providing online live video music sessions to his followers and friends reaching thousands of people in Ireland and abroad. In 2021, Kyle began work on The Shenanigans Series of shows with Paul Timoney. . He was a recipient of the Meath Arts Office Professional Development Award in both 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2025.
